Hog Roast Barrow-in-Furness Catered For A Fabulous New Year’s Eve Wedding

Hog Roast Barrow-in-FurnessHappy New Year from all of us here at Hog Roast Barrow-in-Furness! We hope you had as much fun celebrating the final day of 2024 as we did! Our team was thrilled to be part of an unforgettable celebration, catering for a lively wedding here in Cumbria, and let’s just say – we couldn’t have predicted a more perfect day.

The stunning venue Sara and Liam chose for their big day was nothing short of spectacular. Nestled on 130 acres of breathtaking land and gardens, the lakeside location offered the most picturesque backdrop for their ceremony. As the happy couple exchanged vows, the views looking out over the water were simply magical. And, of course, Hog Roast Barrow-in-Furness was honoured to take care of the catering for this incredible celebration!

We arrived hours ahead of the wedding to ensure everything was set for their multi-course feast. Setting the scene was no small task: from laying out pristine white linens and real cutlery to preparing a mouthwatering selection of canapés, every detail had to be just right. But you know us – we thrive on a challenge, and we couldn’t wait to get started!

As the guests flooded the reception area, we were ready and waiting to serve them a delicious array of canapés. Bite-sized fish and chips, mini pizzas, and vegetarian quiches were just a few of the treats that set the tone for the evening.

Hog Roast Barrow-in-FurnessThe three-course meal that followed was a real showstopper! To kick things off, guests enjoyed a hearty bowl of homemade soup with fresh crusty rolls and butter. For the main event, they had their choice of traditional hog roast, whole-roasted free-range chicken, or vegan-friendly BBQ-pulled jackfruit rolls, all paired with a variety of sides including crisp salads, creamy coleslaw, and indulgent dauphinoise potatoes.

Of course, no Hog Roast Barrow-in-Furness feast would be complete without dessert, and we finished strong with sticky toffee pudding and cheesecake topped with fresh cream. But that wasn’t the end of the story! We stuck around to prepare a late-night buffet of hot bacon and sausage barm cakes served with mustard and ketchup – the perfect midnight snack to keep everyone fueled for the festivities!

Hog Roast Barrow-in-Furness had the best time catering for Sara and Liam’s wedding, and the newlyweds couldn’t have been more grateful for our hard work.
