Alana and her fiancé are in the final planning stages for their wedding, which is taking place in September at a beautiful hotel in Cumbria. The reception is set to be a formal occasion, with a three-course meal, live music, and a black-tie dress code. For the formal menu, Hog Roast Gawthrop was hired to provide the catering, and our manager Frank was more than happy to get involved. Our formal dining package would be an ideal addition to this luxury wedding day, with plenty for every guest to enjoy.
In preparation for this event, the Hog Roast Gawthrop is busy finalising the menu for the 120 guests to enjoy. The meal will begin with a starter consisting of fresh salmon, which is a light and delicious dish for beginning a three-course meal.
Following this, we will be serving slices of delicious slow-roasted pork, accompanied by roasted potatoes, seasonal salad dishes, sage and onion stuffing, homemade applesauce, and crispy crackling. The pork will be roasted to perfection on the day of the wedding and carved just before serving to ensure that it is packed full of natural juices and flavours. Overall, this main course is hearty and filling, with more than enough for every guest to enjoy.
For the dessert course, the guests will choose between summer pudding and profiteroles, accompanied by English cream and fresh berries. additionally, we will also be providing a tea and coffee service to finish the meal, allowing every guest to enjoy a hot drink alongside their dessert.
