A Glamorous Night to Remember with Hog Roast Ambleside

Hog Roast AmblesideIn between all the garden parties and gorgeous spring weddings we’ve been busy with lately, Hog Roast Ambleside had the absolute pleasure of catering a dazzling charity ball at a luxurious hotel last weekend – and wow, what a night it was!

The event planners went all out, treating guests to an unforgettable evening packed with glitz, glamour, and just the right dash of mystery. Think casino games with James Bond vibes, smooth live jazz that had toes tapping, a mentalist who left everyone scratching their heads in amazement, and a cocktail artist shaking and stirring drinks with flair worthy of a stage show.

The venue looked like something out of a Hollywood movie, draped in black and gold with opulent touches everywhere you turned. And the guests? Let’s just say the red carpet would’ve felt right at home. Elegance was the dress code, and boy, did they deliver!

To complement the luxe atmosphere, Hog Roast Ambleside rolled out one of our most refined dining experiences. Our team glided through the crowd with glasses of fizz and gorgeous handmade canapés displayed on sleek bamboo boards. The canapés were a hit – pan-seared fillet of beef, delicate smoked Scottish salmon, mini pizzas, roasted halloumi and tomato crostini, and dainty mini quiches had everyone nibbling with delight and asking for seconds.

Then came the main event (on the plate, that is). Hog Roast Ambleside presented a choice of juicy, slow-roasted free-range chicken with chipolata sausages and fresh brown bread, or whole roasted sirloin of English beef brushed with mustard and served alongside fluffy Yorkshire puddings and rich red wine gravy. For our vegetarian friends, grilled vegetable and halloumi kebabs with tzatziki dip and flatbreads were a runaway success!

Hog Roast AmblesideWhen it came to sides, everyone felt spoiled. Creamy dauphinoise potatoes, heritage tomato and buffalo mozzarella, crisp Caesar salad, seasonal leaves, and gourmet coleslaw – it was a feast that tickled every taste bud.

And just when guests thought it couldn’t get any better, dessert swooped in: delicate vacherins of strawberries with passion fruit cream and decadent chocolate torte. A sweet ending to a stunning evening.
