Choosing a caterer for your event is one of the most important decisions you’ll make – no pressure! With the outcome of your gathering riding on the taste, quality and presentation of the food, we understand so much thought goes into your final choice.
Today, Hog Roast Hawkshead is hoping to make your decision a little easier by exploring some of our most frequently asked questions – and sharing our responses.
Q) Can You Accommodate Dietary Restrictions/Special Menus or Offer Menu Flexibility?
A) Hog roasts might be our main passion, but we understand that they’re not a suitable option for every guest. In the spirit of inclusion, Hog Roast Hawkshead has expanded our services far beyond our signature hog. Whether you’re in the mood for succulent chicken, tender beef, sizzling lamb or something from our vegetarian and vegan-friendly selection, we’ve got you.
We’re also more than happy to cater for gluten-intolerant guests and those with allergies. Just let us know ahead of time, and we’ll work to make the necessary adjustments. If none of our set menus stand out, we can create an entirely bespoke menu!
Q) Do You Offer A Children’s Menu?
A) While we don’t have a specific menu for children, Hog Roast Hawkshead is a favourite for all ages. Our wholesome and hearty menus are suitable for every age group and always go down a treat – even with those notoriously fussy guests!
However, we can adapt our hog roast to be more child friendly by paring the meat with freshly made chips, mac and cheese and potatoes. Or, if you would prefer, we can serve homemade sausages and burgers – these are always a hit!
Q) How Do You Handle Leftovers?
A) If there’s one thing Hog Roast Hawkshead is known for, it’s our big portions. We like to make sure everyone is well fed and has the option of reaching for seconds. This can sometimes mean leftovers. What we do with these leftovers is completely up to you – it’s your food after all. We can either serve it as a platter for guests to pick at later, package it up for you to enjoy over the following days, or we can drop them off at a nearby homeless shelter or care home.
