Earlier this month, Hog Roast Distington was hired to provide alfresco catering at an upcoming wedding taking place this spring. The wedding is between Mark and Sam and is taking place at a beautiful outdoor venue in Cumbria, as long as the weather permits! For the catering, Mark contacted our catering manager Phil to discuss Hog Roast Distington’s wedding catering menus. After looking through our options, it was decided that our alfresco menu would be perfect for the occasion, as it includes a variety of dishes and has something for every guest to enjoy, making it perfect for this special day!
In preparation for the event, we began to plan the menu. Our menu will begin with a delicious starter consisting of sharing platters served tableside to the guests. The platters will include gourmet meats and cheeses, as well as fresh bread and butter and a selection of fresh vegetables. This is a luxurious and trendy way to begin the menu and is a great introduction to our catering style.
For the main meal, we will be serving a classic hog roast, served with all of the traditional trimmings. This course will include slices of tender pork, roasted baby potatoes, sage and onion stuffing, seasonal vegetables, and homemade gravy. This is a hearty and filling main meal that is sure to go down a treat with the guests.
To finish the menu, guests will be able to enjoy a selection of dessert options, including individual cheesecake and profiteroles. The dishes will be served with English cream and fresh berries, creating a delicious final course.
