Well, it’s official, folks – December has arrived! And as the final chapter of 2022, this month calls for mass celebrations, which, naturally, has been keeping Hog Roast Lazonby’s caterers on their toes lately!
Yes, as you can probably imagine, this time of the year, with it being the largest holiday season, is always our busiest. But that’s all the more reason for us to love what we do! Our team thrives in fast-paced environments and are always up for a challenge, so handling back-to-back bookings has been a thrilling experience.
Kickstarting the month, our catering manager, Phil, travelled with the rest of the Hog Roast Lazonby team to assist one of our customers, Liam, with his company’s annual corporate Christmas party. Every year, people look forward to this event with anticipation, and it’s always a brilliant way for the business to reward staff for hard work and dedication. This year, Liam was placed in charge of organising the event for the first time ever, which he was both excited and nervous about!
When Liam called us looking for a top-notch catering provider to take the reins, he explained that his high-flying business is renowned for going all out with these events, and as such, he was determined not to let anyone down. Right away, Phil knew that our Formal Hog Roast Dining Experience Menu would be perfect for this event, and sure enough, he was right!
On the day of the party, our caterers worked tirelessly to deliver the exquisite feast in time for the guests’ arrival. As always, Hog Roast Lazonby had no trouble meeting the deadline, and as the guests flooded the elaborately decorated events hall, our waiting staff greeted them with a glass of champagne and a selection of handmade canapé options, which warmed them up nicely for the main meal.
Once everyone had found their seats, our crew delivered the heritage tomato and beetroot carpaccio to each table, followed by a choice of whole-roasted free-range turkey, slow-roasted pork with crackling, stuffing and applesauce or grilled vegetable and halloumi skewers. As always, Hog Roast Lazonby had prepared plenty of sides for the guests to help themselves to, and to round off the delightful meal, everyone was treated to tarte au citron or chocolate torte puds.
Everyone was very pleased with the service our team provided, and Liam was thrilled that his party surpassed expectations!
