Valentine’s Day 2024 has come and gone, leaving behind a trail of heartwarming memories, especially for those lucky enough to attend a romantic couple’s retreat in Cumbria’s serene countryside. Hosted by glamping site owner, Andrew, this event was a magical blend of nature, romance, and, of course, delectable cuisine provided by none other than Hog Roast Patterdale.
Andrew, known for his knack for creating magical experiences, curated a blissful overnight stay for couples. The festivities included a rejuvenating hike, a picturesque picnic, and culminated in an enchanting evening, which saw the couples huddle around a crackling campfire, complete with toasted marshmallows, soulful folk songs, and awe-inspiring stargazing. Adding the perfect touch to this romantic setting was Hog Roast Patterdale, summoned to serve a night-time feast that left everyone swooning.
The gourmet BBQ spread crafted by our talented chefs was nothing short of a culinary masterpiece. Hog Roast Patterdale’s own gourmet sausages, BBQ handmade beef burgers, succulent chicken kebabs, marinated spareribs, veggie burgers, and grilled vegetable skewers offered a diverse array of flavours, satisfying the palates of all 26 guests in attendance. Complementing the grilled delights were sides that elevated the meal – seasonal green leaf salad, pasta salad, and mixed fries, adding the perfect balance to the feast.
Catering manager, Frank, took charge and executed the food service flawlessly, ensuring that every dish was not only delicious but also presented with the utmost care. The unanimous sentiment among the guests was that the food was the cherry on top of an already enchanting evening.
