At Hog Roast Abbeytown, we have catered for events with all kinds of themes over the years and have seen every costume you could think of! Here is just one menu that could be ideal for your party…
Earlier in 2024, Hog Roast Abbeytown was hired to cater for a private party taking place at a local hotel function room. The party was being hosted for Martin’s 40th birthday and he wanted the event to have a 90s theme to reflect on his favourite era growing up. The guests were told that they needed to dress like they did in the 90s and the evening was set to include plenty of throwback music and dancing. Alongside the entertainment, the Hog Roast Abbeytown was hired to provide a delicious buffet for the 80 guests to enjoy. Martin chose our classic hog roast menu since it can be easily served to large groups of guests and always goes down a treat at parties.
In preparation for this event, the Hog Roast Abbeytown team will arrive at the function room in the afternoon to give us plenty of time to prepare for the 8:00pm serving time. We will begin by slow-roasting the hog on-site and allowing it to cook to perfection. Once ready, it will be expertly carved and served in fresh bread rolls, alongside sage and onion stuffing, homemade applesauce, and crispy crackling. Additionally, we will be serving succulent pork sausages and veggie sausages, as well as homemade chips, gourmet coleslaw, corn cobettes, and a selection of salad options. Our catering is sure to be a great addition to this event and the Hog Roast TOWN is looking forward to making Martin’s birthday even better!
