Earlier this summer, Hog Roast Girvan was hired to cater for a team-building day at a local retirement home. The business wanted to host an event for their 35 staff members to enjoy as a way for them to get to know each other and enjoy a break from their busy schedules. The event was set to include a delicious meal from our team, alongside several team games and activities. For the catering, we were hired to serve a classic hog roast for the staff, with a delicious meat-free and gluten-free option also on offer. Nothing brings people together like a good meal, so we knew that our catering would be a great addition to the team-building day.
When the day of the event arrived, the Hog Roast Girvan team were on-site early in the morning to prepare for the 1pm serving time. We began by preparing the main dishes, which included a succulent slow-roasted hog and BBQ-pulled jackfruit. These dishes were served in fresh bread rolls, with gluten-free rolls also on offer. For the variety of sides, the guests enjoyed sage and onion stuffing, homemade applesauce, crispy crackling, homemade chips, and a selection of fresh salad dishes. Our catering was a great addition to the event and created a great talking point for the afternoon, which was ideal for team building.
