Earlier this spring, a local clothing sales company found out that their manager was leaving as she wanted to take a few years out of employment to spend with her family. Melanie had been a wonderful manager at the store for over 7 years and was vital to keeping the team working efficiently, so it was unsurprising that the remaining staff wanted to host a party to commemorate her departure. The party was set to take place at the store and in the private car park, with a buffet served outside by Hog Roast Heathall. The weather was forecast to be sunny and warm so the whole team had their fingers crossed for good weather!
On the day of the party, the Hog Roast Heathall got to work setting up our catering station in the car park, while the staff decorated the interior. For the menu, we prepared a slow-roasted hog and cooked it to perfection. Once it was cooked, the hog was expertly carved and served in fresh bread rolls or a gluten-free alternative. Alongside the main dishes, we also prepared homemade chips, sage and onion stuffing, seasonal salad dishes, crispy crackling, and fresh applesauce. This created a delicious menu and there were plenty of different dishes for the guests to enjoy. Melanie was overjoyed with the surprise party, and it was the perfect send-off after years of hard work!
